Delete your Solid data
Solid, by Bitrora · Last updated 20 October 2026
Solid keeps very little about you, and you can delete all of it yourself. There are
two parts, depending on how you use Solid. Most people only need the first.
1. Delete what Solid keeps about your wallet
- Open Solid and go to Settings → Privacy.
- Under Delete my Solid data, tap Delete my data, then
Delete, for good.
- Your wallet asks you to sign a message. Signing is free and moves no money. It's how
Solid knows the request comes from the wallet's owner, so nobody can delete a
stranger's data by typing their address.
It happens straight away, on every phone the wallet is used on.
What's deleted
- Your short payment links, and the session that lets you make them without signing
each time
- The registration that tells you when you were paid
- Questions you suggested for stakers to vote on
- Your votes in polls that are still open
- If you joined Solid Points: your Points account, the record of who you paid, and
your competition entries
What stays, and why
- Your points history, with your wallet address cut out of it. A
competition's entries still have to add up afterwards. If you're in a competition that
has closed but not yet been drawn, the deletion waits for the draw.
- Votes in polls whose results are already published, so anyone can
still recount them.
- A shop's record of a loyalty reward you claimed there, so a full card
can't be used twice. It belongs to the shop, and it's deleted when the shop's account
closes.
- Your payments. They're on the Solana blockchain, which is public and
permanent. Nobody can delete them, Solid included.
What's on your phone
Everything else Solid knows about you stays on your phone and never reaches us: learned
words, the people you've saved, your requests and your settings. Erase learned words in
Settings → Privacy, or uninstall Solid to remove all of it.
No longer have the app? Install it again and connect the same wallet: what Solid keeps
belongs to the wallet, not the phone. Or email
privacy@sendsolid.app with the wallet address,
and we'll ask the wallet to prove it's yours before deleting anything.
2. Close a Solid Business account
Closing deletes the shop's account and everything Solid keeps for it, and it can't be
undone. Only the owner can close it, and it needs the authenticator app used for two-step
sign-in, so somebody who gets into your email can't delete your shop with it.
- Sign in at sendsolid.app/account with the link Solid emails
you.
- If you haven't yet, add an authenticator under Settings → Two-step
sign-in. It takes about two minutes.
- In Settings, under Leaving, tap Close this
account.
- Type the business name, then tap Close it permanently.
Keep copies first. Invoices and the shop's payment history are
deleted with the account. If you need them for your tax records, save them before you
close it.
What's deleted
- The account and its sign-in, including your authenticator
- The subscription and its add-ons, cancelled first so nothing is billed again
- Staff phones and their names, and your items, prices and stock
- Sale notes and the shop's payment ledger
- Invoices, quotes and receipts the shop sent, and the bills Solid sent the shop
- The company page and its photos, its place in Find on Solid, and any Promoted
offer
- The loyalty programme and its record of rewards claimed, the wallet linked for SKR,
and perks for stakers
- Accountants' access, if you used Books
- What you agreed to when you signed up, and your email choices
What stays, and why
- A note that an account was closed, and when. It's kept for Solid's
security records under an internal number, with no name, email or wallet.
- Verified on Solana, if you switched it on. The shop's checked name
and payout wallet stay on Solana until Solid withdraws the claim, which closing the
account sets off. The chain keeps a record that the claim existed, and nobody can erase
that.
- Your payments, on Solana, for the reason in part 1.
Can't sign in, or lost the phone with your authenticator? Email
privacy@sendsolid.app from the account's email
address. We'll check it's you, then close the account for you within 30 days.
