Last updated 10 October 2026 · Applies to the Solid Android app and sendsolid.app
By installing or using Solid you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. They are written to be read, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.
Solid is an Android input method, a keyboard, that helps you compose Solana payment requests and transactions from inside other apps. It is a tool for building and displaying transactions that your own wallet then signs.
This is the most important section on this page.
Solana transactions are irreversible. Once your wallet signs and the network confirms a transfer, nobody can reverse it, recall it, or recover it. Not us, not your wallet, not Solana.
If you send funds to the wrong address, they are gone. If you are tricked into paying someone, the money is theirs. We have no ability to freeze, claw back or refund anything, and any support request asking us to do so will be answered by pointing at this paragraph.
Solid tries hard to reduce the chance of this happening. It shows you the amount and the destination before anything is signed, it compares recipients against addresses you have used and warns you about ones that would look identical when truncated, it lets you cap what may be moved per payment, and it will not insert a message into a conversation until a payment has actually confirmed. These are safeguards, not guarantees. The final check is yours, in your wallet, every time.
/q/) also shows which wallet, or which shop on Solid, made it. No
link proves who is behind that wallet or shop. You must not use Solid to break the law, to launder money, to finance terrorism, to defraud or extort anybody, to evade sanctions, or to impersonate another person or organisation.
We have almost no technical ability to police this. There is no account to suspend
and no transaction we can intercept, which is precisely why it is stated as your
obligation rather than our promise. The one thing we can do: a short payment link
(/q/) that is reported to us as a scam or an impersonation can be taken
down, after which its page says so and offers no way to pay it. So can a shop's company
page (/b/): it shows only while Solid has verified the business, and Solid
can withdraw that, after which the page stops showing within a minute. A listing in Find
on Solid is the business's own page, not an endorsement; a reported listing is removed the
same way, and the order of the directory is never sold.
Solid can operate on Solana's devnet, where tokens have no value and exist for
testing. Links beginning /t/ are devnet requests, and a short link says
Devnet on its page. Devnet may be reset or
discontinued by Solana at any time, and nothing on it should be treated as money.
Solid depends on things outside our control: your device, your wallet app, Android, Solana's network, and third-party RPC providers. We do not promise it will always be available or always work, and we may change or discontinue features. Where a change removes something you relied on, we will try to say so in advance.
Solid connects to wallets and blockchain infrastructure operated by others. Their terms govern their services. We are not responsible for them, and we are not affiliated with Solana Labs, Solana Mobile, or any wallet provider.
Solid runs competitions you enter by spending Solid Points. Bitrora is the promoter, points cannot be bought, and entering costs you nothing else. The competition rules say who can enter, how a winner is chosen and what happens if you win, and they are part of these terms when you enter one.
Not open yet. No shop can sell online through Solid today. This section applies to a business that adds the Online shop to its plan, from the day it can, and is here now so it can be read first.
You are the seller. A sale through your online shop is between you and your customer. Your customer pays from their wallet straight into yours. Solid is not a party to the sale, never holds the money and cannot refund it: refunds are yours to make, from your wallet, in the token the payment came in.
What the law asks you to show. Section 43 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act requires a business selling online to show, before anyone buys: its full legal name and registration number, its physical address, phone number and email address, a description and the full price of what it sells, how payment works, its delivery terms and times, its returns and refunds policy, how it handles complaints, and how it protects its customers' information. Solid will not switch your shop on until you have filled these in, shows them on your page as your shop's terms, and links them from every checkout. Keeping them true is yours. If one is missing, your customer may cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods.
Cancelling, and refunds. Under section 44 of that Act, a customer may cancel an order for goods within 7 days of receiving them, and for services within 7 days of agreeing to them, without a reason and without a penalty. They pay only the direct cost of sending goods back, and are refunded in full within 30 days of cancelling. Section 42 leaves some sales out, among them food, drink and other everyday goods delivered to a home or workplace, goods made to the customer's own order or that spoil quickly, and newspapers, magazines and books. The Consumer Protection Act applies to what you sell as well.
Your customers' delivery details: yours to answer for, Solid's to keep for you. Under POPIA you are the responsible party for the name, mobile number, address and note a customer gives for a delivery, and Solid is your operator. By switching on the Online shop, you and Solid agree that:
What you may not sell. Anything unlawful to sell where you are or where your customer is, and anything section 5 rules out. Solid can switch off an online shop that does, as it can a company page.
Stopping. The Online shop is an add-on to your plan, billed with it. You can stop it at any time and it runs to the end of the period you have paid for. Stopping it takes the shop off your page; orders already paid are still yours to deliver.
The Solid name, the mark and the source code belong to Bitrora. The source is not published, and nothing here grants a licence to copy, modify or redistribute it. These terms govern your use of the app and this site. Token names and logos shown in the app belong to their respective projects and are used to identify them.
Solid is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bitrora is not liable for any loss of funds, loss of profits, loss of data, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of Solid, including losses caused by your own mistake, by a third party deceiving you, by a wallet or network failure, or by a bug in the software.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and material changes will be flagged in the app. Continuing to use Solid after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, where Bitrora's head office is, and you agree to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory local law that cannot be contracted out of. In particular, South African users keep their rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002; users in the United States, the EU and the UK keep any equivalent non-waivable consumer protections, whichever jurisdiction these terms name.
Solid is distributed as software, not as a financial service. We are not registered as a financial services provider in South Africa, are not a money transmitter in any United States state, and do not require such registration, because we never receive, hold or transmit funds. See section 2.
Solid is built by Bitrora, the South African company named below. These terms are with that company. Bitrora LLC is a separate company under the same ownership and is the United States presence.
