I don't have a wallet yet. Where do I start?
A wallet is your own account on Solana, on your phone. It holds your money and the keys to it, and only you can use them. Solid never holds either: it puts each payment together and asks your wallet to approve it.
Both are free, both keep your keys on your phone and not on somebody's server, and both speak Mobile Wallet Adapter, the Solana standard Solid uses to ask for your approval. Pick either; you can always add the other later.
A wallet made for Solana and nothing else. Clear to set up, and it handles SOL, USDC and every token Solid takes.
The wallet most people on Solana already have. If a friend is going to help you set up, it is probably the one they know.
Seed Vault is built into the phone. There is nothing to install: go back to Solid, tap Connect wallet, and approve with the phone's own secure hardware.
Another Solana wallet that supports Mobile Wallet Adapter will work with Solid too. These are the ones we recommend, not the only ones that work. Nobody pays to be on this page.
No hype and no coins to buy. Here is what a wallet actually gets you when you use it with Solid.
No bank holds it and nobody can freeze it on a whim. The wallet, and the money in it, belong to you.
Money arrives in seconds, any hour, any day, and the network fee is a fraction of a cent.
USDC and USDT are made to stay worth a US dollar, and ZARP a rand, so you can be paid in money you already understand.
Paying family in another country works the same as paying the person next to you, for the same tiny fee.
When you create your wallet it shows you a recovery phrase: 12 or 24 words. Write them on paper and keep it somewhere safe. Anyone with those words can take your money, and if you lose them nobody can get them back for you, not your wallet and not Solid.
Never type them into a website or send them to anybody. Solid will never ask for them, and nobody helping you honestly ever will.
Solflare or Phantom, from Google Play. On a Seeker, skip this: Seed Vault is already there.
Open the wallet, choose to create a new one, and write down your recovery phrase before you do anything else.
Open Solid and tap Connect wallet. Your wallet asks you to approve, you say yes, and you are ready to send and get paid.
